Jaipur, part of the golden triangle...
Jaipur close enough to do a short visit...
Jaipur the city that reminded me why I wanted to live in this country...
Until this trip, and during my time in Delhi I had the feeling I was living in a little bubble, protected from the outside, where the intensity of the chaos is moderated, where you see the beggars from your aircon car and where you turn the head the other way not to look at them.
It's been a while since this trip, but it was definitely a game changer. To be there in the chaos, taking auto-rickshaws, fighting in the crowds, under the heat, aggressed by the flies, overwhelmed by the people... all that brought back why I loved this country so much 10 years ago and that I can say again why I love it so much. It might sound arrogant and I am sorry, but having travelled a while I feel I need a bit extra to be moved, to be impressed, and this country doesn't only moves me, impresses me, it shocks me, it feels like a slap on the face, a wake up call... In this country you can not be indifferent, in this country you just have to deal with it... Here I finally feel alive.
This pictures will not show my wake up call, only the beautiful city of Jaipur though!
